Technical Support Representative - Kansas  

Role Purpose – 

The purpose of this role is to provide technical support to the Territory Sales Representatives within an assigned geography. Provide knowledge and support to BU needs.

Accountabilities – 

Provide key link between Field Biology and Brand Management to transfer technical and product positioning knowledge to Field Sales • Develop training material and provide crop/product technical training to internal (CP, Seeds & Seed Care) and external customers to support business needs • Champion new market opportunities with existing and new products. Coordinate new product launches to fit local customer needs. • Initiate/propose SLN labels (24C, 2ee, and Section 18) to address market opportunities. • Identify and prioritize Sales Support needs and manage resources to generate timely data/information, A&P support and competitive response • Implement demo plot work to expose sales force and customers to new products and new market opportunities. • Provide technical support for complaint handling. • Identify and work with key University, Consultant, Farm Managers, and other third-party influencers to solicit recommendations and support of SYT product portfolio in the marketplace.

Knowledge, experience & capabilities –

Critical knowledge:

It is essential that the incumbent in this role have a technical knowledge base of crop protection products, crop and agronomic practices in the marketplace in order to make product recommendations and to resolve any issues which evolve in the field.

Critical experience:

This position requires a minimum of Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Agriculture or Science. Candidate should have at least 5 years of field experience in technical-related roles. Sales/marketing experience is a plus.

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical to this position. The incumbent will need to be able to demonstrate innovative information seeking skills to develop new market opportunities for Syngenta.
