Corn Production Manager

 

Sedona AG is representing a seed company, and has an excellent opportunity as a Corn Production Manager. Candidates must be enthusiastic, reliable, self-motivated, detailed oriented, a strategic thinker, and experienced in data analysis. This position involves inventory management, building and communicating a processing plan. Experience in the seed industry and a four or two year college degree is preferred. Competitive salary and full benefits package are offered.

 

We are currently seeking candidates in  Northeast Iowa and Central Iowa

 

Responsibilities Include:

·         Build and communicate processing plan

·         Schedule rebagging

·         Align supplies for packaging

·         Monitor QA results

·         Inventory management

·         Wholesale activity

·         Report bagging and Bill of Ladens

·         Maintain Allocation Table

 

Basic Qualifications:

·         Complex problem solving

·         Seed Product Knowledge

·         Business Process Knowledge 

·         Organization skills

·         Effective verbal and written communication skills

Title: Corn Planner II Company: Syngenta Type of Work: Full Time Where Job is Located: Ames, IA Can Work from Home: N/A Must Hire By: ASAP Job/Work/Project Description: Physical demands of the essential functions: May be required to lift up to 40 lbs.  Extensive travel required (up to 50% of job). Working conditions while performing essential functions:  Combination of office and fieldwork.  Conditions are often dirty, dusty, and hot in combination with noisy equipment.  Potential allergens ? pollen, fungal spores, chemical pesticides in field or greenhouse.  Exposure to high and low temperatures, sun, rain, and dust.  Significant domestic and international travel throughout key markets required.   • B.S. Degree or comparable experience in related field. Master?s degree preferred.
