Seed Care Sales Rep – Field, Indiana - 1181 Role Purpose – Expand the Seed Care business in Central and Northern Indiana through careful analysis of core markets, customers, and delivering financial as well as share growth through execution of well-designed account plans. The incumbent will be responsible for developing customers to maximize sales while managing interaction with the key influencers in the following areas which will include but not limited to; seed treatment distribution channels, ,seed treatment sales support, training initiatives and coordination of territory operational activities with varying levels of management in target accounts. The incumbent will also be responsible for positioning and supporting new product launches as well as driving growth initiatives with the current portfolio. Key brand / product focus will be AVICTA®, Cruiser Extreme® 250, CruiserMaxx® Beans, ApronMaxx® RFC, Maxim® XL, Dynasty®. Major markets are Corn, Soybeans, and Sunflowers. Key customer support Accountabilities – • Provide strategic direction and support services to targeted accounts. Identify and target accounts for development within core geography. 
• Develop, implement and execute territory account plans to achieve sales objectives and deliver profitable market share growth. 
• Provide leadership within the Sales District to support District financial, share, and customer growth objectives. 
• Manage product performance inquiries within stated business guidelines. 
• Deliver customer development objectives utilizing agreed District Strategic Plan
• Attain assigned territory sales goals Knowledge, Experience & Capabilities – Critical knowledge: • It is essential that the candidate have a broad knowledge of the Seed Care product portfolio and of corresponding crop markets. The candidate must be able to immediately recognize competitive activities in the marketplace and know how to effectively minimize impact without compromising profitability targets Critical experience: • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Agriculture with Crop Protection or Seeds background. Soybean Product Development Agronomist - Indiana

Soybean Product Development Agronomist, PDA Scientist – Monroeville, IN - 991

Role Purpose – The purpose of the Soybean PDA Scientist role is to identify, characterize and position superior performing varieties that meet business targets and identified market needs including key traits and technologies.

Accountabilities - Coordinate Soy PD Stage 5 & 6 Trial activity for the Eastern region, including: a. Coordinate trial design, content, and testing locations b. Lead promotion of new lines from Stage 5 to 6 c. Work with Breeders, Station Managers, and appropriate commercial contacts, for placement of Stage 4, 5 and 6 trials within Syngenta locations and with outside collaborators. d. Take notes and/or coordinate note taking on Stage 4, 5 and 6 trials, input data, analyze data and summarize data for promotion decisions 2. Working with Technical Product Specialists (TSP) Product Managers (PM): a. Provide timely data to facilitate promotion decisions for all product outlets b. Attend and present data at meetings to allow selection decisions on new varieties c. Actively participate as appropriate at field days designed to help show and position products d. Attend meetings with key external customers to position key lines as required 3. Provide input for Soybean Breeding programs: a. Review product and technology needs on an annual basis to provide direction and support for planning of the early pipeline b. Provide feedback received from customers on performance of key varieties and competitor products 4. Coordinate other agronomic trials as needed, including: a. Trials of new product offerings with Crop Protection (e.g. seed treatments/herbicides) b. Variety positioning trials (e.g. row spacing, soil response) 5. Work with Breeder and Station Manager to provide feedback that allows continuous improvement in plot quality and testing efficiency 6. Manage Data and Reports by use of SPIRIT and Data Miner, maintaining current reports and developing new reports as needed.

Knowledge, experience & capabilities – Experience in plant breeding and/or as a professional agronomist

Critical knowledge: Knowledge of product development • Thorough knowledge of soybean agronomy • Knowledge of soybean germplasm, traits and NAFTA markets. • Ph.D., Masters or equivalent

Critical Skills: Excellent organization, communication and computer skills.

 Excellent interpersonal skills, especially those required to successfully function as part of a cross-functional team.  Ability to understand and communicate complex instructions.  Excellent data analysis and presentation skills.

Retail Account Manager - Indiana

Role Purpose – 

Establish a unique business relationship with large and key accounts, their General Managers and Board of Directors that require a more in depth strategic, aligned, and committed approach. Account responsibilities will include but are not limited to managing multiple locations through and with the Head Shed, developing long term business strategies through market analysis and understanding customer's skill sets and abilities. Development of unique market approaches and product/service utilization including private label brands and generic defensive strategies. Networking with internal Syngenta and external customer stakeholders will be a must as accounts will cross both territory and district lines. Although the initial focus will be primarily crop protection, Retail Account Manager will coordinate seed treatment, Crop Protection and Seed plans of varying degrees based on customer needs analysis.

Increase our influence with selected large retail customers based in Indiana and businesses that span across multiple states, districts and sales territories. 

Manage/increase Crop Protection revenue in specific market 

Manage offer design, strategic planning and implementation of offers 

Key contact/interface for all Syngenta business and deliver a valuable Agribusiness experience 

Key customer consultative asset, GM & Board of Directors. 

Drive communication (internal and external) within organization in seamless fashion to deliver agreed upon strategies 

Develop integrated business plans that engage customer in strategic partner activities 

Improve customer offer customization for greater ROI and begin to position enhancements as true Business alignment agreements 

Business process analysis and improvement

Identify and pursue additional business opportunities

Knowledge, experience & capabilities –

Critical knowledge:

It is essential that the candidate have a minimum 3+ years in industry, sales/marketing experience, proven track record in strategic decision making, knowledge of retail customer business, organizational effectiveness and product/brand/crop knowledge.
