Special Projects Analyst – Greensboro, NC - 1022
Role Purpose –
Manage overall financial process improvements across commercial business units • Provide financial analysis and decision support to Finance and Commercial Business Units • Support business decision making by supplying robust and timely financial & business information • Responsible for management of program exposures and activities, including all project management, internal controls and process procedures associated with cross marketing programs
Accountabilities –
Coordinate all finance activities required for efficient cross functional support of the commercial business units, continuously seeking for improvement in processes • Support Finance initiatives and programs, as required; this will require project management skills in performing process analysis, redesign and implementation of process changes • Demonstrate strong leadership and behavorial abilities required for change management processes • As appropriate, to monitor and ensure full compliance with all legal and fiscal requirements ensuring Syngenta licence to operate • In all customer facing interactions build and reinforce Syngenta's global brand and reputation • Interaction level: functional / business managers • Act as a mentor to less experienced staff in both technical and behavioural areas
Knowledge, experience & capabilities –
Bachelor/Master in Economics or Business Administration (or similar), preferably specializing in Finance • Approximately 5 years experience in financial analysis/controlling • Good experience of project management and understanding of financial statements • Thorough understanding of reporting, budgeting, forecasting and planning processes • Knowledge of the industry within which Syngenta operates • Good experience in the understanding and effective communication of financial information to non-financial staff
