Agronomy Sales - Owatonna, MN

Job/Work/Project Description: Sedona AG in partnering with a local Co-op, has an excellent Sales Agronomist opportunity to market agricultural technology products including traited corn seed, fertilizer, chemicals, plus other products to producers and growers. This opportunity would be excellent for experienced sales professionals or a new graduate as training is available. The Co-op has a well established customer base. Candidates must be enthusiastic, reliable, self-motivated, and passionate about the benefits these products offer. This position involves on-farm selling, customer service, and implementing technology.

Experience in the seed industry is preferred. Competitive salary plus bonus opportunities, vehicle, and full benefits package are offered. We currently have a territory available in the Owatonna, Minnesota with concentration in  Steele County.

Requirements: Individual must have strong sales with an agronomy degree, CCA or equivalent experience with a proven track record; be a self starter; good public speaker; and be a team player. Computer skills are a must. Individual must have a valid driver's license and pass a drug test before employment. Work with sales/agronomists developing and implementing programs, both manufacturer and in house brand if applicable. Individual is also responsible for inventory management.

• Responsible for sales and products receipts, including pre-pay bookings and counter sales • Responsible for ordering, seed allocations, transfers, variety changes, seed size changes and shortages Seed Warehouse • Organize orders, Dispatch deliveries • Treat/Load/Dispatch bulk soybeans orders Test Plots • Locate customers in our trade area to cooperate with planting test plots and/or side-by-side comparisons.

Individual must also be able to work irregular hours as needed. Seasonal overtime is expected.
