Monsanto Touring Staff!

Eh Hem - Super Cool Job Alert!  Could you imagine being on the road promoting Monsanto at all kinds of great venues in their Mobile Marketing Unit?  It could be you.  Momentum, the company that is handling the MTU for Monsanto is hiring for Touring Staff.  Do you have a Class A CDL (or willing to obtain one)?  Do you like people?  Know thing or two about agriculture?  Then you better apply for these cool positions.

Momentum Worldwide is a fully integrated marketing agency specializing in "experiential" marketing. From mobile marketing tours, to event sponsorship, to on-premise promotions, we offer a wide variety of services to cater to the needs of our clients. We bring our clients' product or service directly to the consumer.

We are currently hiring TOURING STAFF (1 Manager, 1 Asst. Manager and 2 Brand Ambassadors) for a large traveling exhibit on behalf of Monsanto, a leading agriculture company.  These positions require 100% travel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Working knowledge of and interest in agriculture and farming

Valid Driver’s License & spotless driving record (MVR); Preference given to those with a Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement

Understanding of DOT guidelines, reporting and log booking

Enjoy a wide variety of work situations and challenges

Demonstrate ability to be flexible in work situations—locations, schedules, and duties may change while on tour minute to minute

Demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Have superior verbal and written communication skills 

Have strong problem solving and motivational skills

Must have the ability to gather and analyze information and report key insights with recommendations for solutions

Must deliver on tight deadlines

Must own a cell phone 

College degree preferred; preference given to degrees in all areas of Agriculture or Journalism/PR

RESPONSIBILITIES:

(May vary slightly depending on position):

Drive a 53’ tractor trailer OR tow vehicle/gooseneck trailer combo OR an SUV to and from all events

Manage all aspects of venue logistics including set-up and strike of display

Ensure all event elements are assembled and functioning correctly and completely 

Ensure all event elements are present at each event 

Ensure all event elements are clean each event day 

Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all vehicles & theatre elements including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance 

Ensure reporting on promotion’s progress is completed within 24 hours of each event

Represent both Momentum and the client in an appropriate manner to general public, sponsors, clients, media, venue management and local vendors

Consumer interaction and education

Continuing training and education in Monsanto products and science

Facilitate media visits and relay information back to client and PR agency

Assist in management of vendors that support the execution of the tour

Handle the daily operation of unit’s significant technologic elements

Tracking of tour budgets and inventories

Ensure reporting on promotion’s progress includes both positive and constructive feedback to improve results

Accurately complete all paperwork in a timely manner for weekly submission

Management of hotel booking

Moderate to heavy lifting

Ensure all client goals and objectives are executed 

This is a contract position beginning in August, 2009 through January 31, 2010 with the potential to continue into 2010.
