SUMMARY: Manages all Product sales, Repair Parts support, Product promotion and training activities within an assigned Sales District to ensure attainment of Company's objectives. As directed by the Sales Manager; develops and implements long range plans for the strategic development of the KINZE Dealer network within the assigned Sales District. Monitors Dealer accounts to maintain the required security in Company assets (Dealer receivables) and to ensure timely remittance of all amounts owed to the Company. Current states covered by this region include: N. Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Successful candidate must be willing to reside in the central part of this region. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: At least three years current experience in the sales and marketing of agricultural equipment or related agricultural products.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Farm background preferred.

Demonstrated skills in motivating and directing field sales activities.

Above average verbal and written communication skills.

Above average interpersonal and persuasive skills.

Frequent and extensive overnight travel required.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints. CORE JOB REQUIREMENTS: Physical Must be capable of driving unaccompanied for trips as long as 8 hours – both daytime and nighttime. Must be physically able to safely operate farm tractors and towed KINZE Products in both field applications and road transport.

Must be capable to safely lift up to 50 lbs. from ground to waist height, as required to prepare outdoor farm shows, indoor trade shows, Dealer meeting setup, Dealer/customer clinics and to service KINZE Products in the field.

Mental Must demonstrate the cognitive skills for computer applications as required by the Position. Other Must maintain a valid vehicle operator license. Must provide a physician's written statement suitable to the

Company and on a frequency determined by the Company, regarding fitness to drive as required by the job. Must be insured (motor vehicle property damage, personal injury and liability) as required by the Company. Must be bondable (if required by the Company). ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide Sales Manager with pertinent product and sales programming information (both KINZE and competitive), market conditions, market demographics and industry trends for short and long range planning. 
  • Provide onsite support to all assigned Dealers through regularly scheduled dealership visits on an agreed frequency as established by the Sales Manager. 
  • Plan, monitor, forecast, implement and manage all Product sales (including Repair Parts) and service activities through Dealers within the assigned Sales District; according to Company policies and guidelines. 
  • Assist Dealers with Product, sales and service training and promotion through individual coaching, open houses, customer clinics, field demonstrations, retail sales calls and local/regional (District) farm/trade shows. 
  • Implement all KINZE programs with Dealers; including co-op advertising, Dealer multiple-listing advertising, Dealer identification (signs), training and others, as introduced. 
  • Provide timely Product sales forecasts and orders, as requested. 
  • Monitor Dealer accounts, verify wholegoods inventories, ensure the timely registration of retail deliveries and collect amounts owing the Company, as required. 
  • As directed by the Sales Manager; develop, update and implement Dealer development plans for the assigned Sales District; including long term strategic Dealer locations, Dealer replacements, new Dealer recruitment and upgrading of existing Dealers. 
  • Conduct annual appraisals in support of the Dealer Performance Incentives (standards) program for all assigned Dealers. 
  • Assist Dealers' retail sales efforts through on-farm calls to prospective purchasers with Dealer sales personnel, as required. 
  • Assist with the identification of new product field test cooperators and provide field reports, as requested. 
  • Provide on-site support for the timely resolution of customers' product performance and reliability issues; and provide reports as requested. 
  • Assist Service personnel with follow up to ensure timely completion by Dealers of any required field Product improvement/update programs. 
  • Maintain current District and Dealer records and promptly submit daily written (electronic) Dealer call reports, as required. 
  • Represent KINZE at related industry events within the assigned Sales District, as required.
